Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Free Agent Finance ("Free Agent Finance," "we," "us," or "our") operates freeagentfinance.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you provide directly. When you use our contact form or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name (optional) and email address, plus any message you send us.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically log technical data through cookies and similar technologies: IP address (truncated/anonymized where possible), browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location (city/region level, derived from IP).
- Information from third parties. We use third-party analytics and, once approved, advertising partners (including Google) who may collect information through cookies as described in Section 4.
2. How we use this information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site's content and user experience.
- To respond to messages sent through our contact form.
- To send newsletter emails to subscribers who opt in, and to let them unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure aggregate traffic and content performance (which articles are read, for how long, from which devices).
- To serve relevant advertising, once our advertising program is active, and to measure ad performance.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity on the Site.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and (once enabled) advertising. See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown of cookie categories, providers, and how to control them through your browser settings.
4. Advertising, Google AdSense, and third-party vendors
Free Agent Finance intends to display advertising through Google AdSense and may use other third-party advertising networks. These vendors may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide personalized advertisements.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendor cookies through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
5. Analytics
We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate. These tools use cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. How we share information
We share information only with: (a) service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising), each bound to use data only for the service they provide us; (b) law enforcement or regulators when required by law; and (c) a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy would continue to apply to your information.
7. Data retention
We retain contact form submissions and newsletter subscriptions for as long as necessary to respond to you or until you unsubscribe. Aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely since it does not identify you personally.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing (including targeted advertising and analytics). This includes rights available to California residents under the CCPA/CPRA and to EU/UK residents under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10 — we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults managing their own finances and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
11. Contact us
Questions about this Privacy Policy or your data can be sent to support@freeagentfinance.com or through our contact page.
